Tubs Of Love

Tubs Of
Love was started in the Chippewa Valley to provide parents in need with
newborn layette items. Each baby bathtub or basket is filled with a
handmade quilt, receiveing blankets, feeding supplies, diapering
supplies, bath supplies, clothing, a small toy, book, and
information about resources in the area. Many of the parents we help
are trying hard, but added expenses can often stress the budget. The
birth of a child is always a cause for celebration, no matter the
circumstance. My mission is to celebrate with these families the life
of their child, and to provide them with a hand up to help them get to
firmer ground.
In 2008 the Barron Area School District 5th grade team from Riverview Middle School has come together with Tubs Of Love to provide needed supplies and donate time to the Beacon House in Eau Claire WI. The Beacon House provides temporary housing to many in the Chippewa Valley and the surrounding areas.
